As we seek to honor God’s Holy Word in our own personal lives, should we not also seek to honor the Scriptures with regards to the Church?  Every believer is specifically placed in the local church as it pleases God (1 Corinthians 12:18), and each one is also specifically given a divine spiritual gift by God’s Holy Spirit to perform a specific role in the Church.  As believers our role is to serve that purpose in the Church and to structure the Church so that it also best represents the truth of God’s Word.

It is for this purpose and to achieve this goal that we are studying the Church at SCBC.

Come and join us as we seek to honor our great God and obey His Word in all He is teaching us about the Church.
